Located in the Dupont area of the District, Lucky Bar is a favorite of sports fans, dancing enthusiasts and bar hoppers alike. As soon as you go into the bar, it’s obvious it’s a great place to watch sports. Lucky Bar boasts three big screens and 22 televisions that have a variety of sports on, from the NFL to soccer from around the world.
Whether it’s college or professional, local or international it’s a good chance that Lucky Bar’s subscriptions to a variety of satellite feeds will have you covered.
This isn’t to say that Lucky Bar is purely for sports fans. The bar also features its very own salsa night. Free dancing lessons start at 8 p.m. on Monday followed by dancing all night long. Lucky Bar’s website does suggest you get there early because the event tends to fill up very quickly.
In addition to the sports and dancing, Lucky Bar is also a place where it’s possible to go just to hang out, have a drink and eat some food. The bar contains a variety of beers on tap from Bass to Stella Artois. There’s also drink and food specials that run during the week, like 25-cent wing night on Tuesday and $2 Budweisers and rail drinks on Thursdays.
