Dogs are man’s best friends, but your pet could also be Santa’s little helper. There are opportunities around town to have your pet’s photo taken with ol' St. Nick.

Canines, clothes, Christmas and cocktails are a recipe for cool weather cheer. Tysons Galleria and Capitol File Magazine are hosting Santa Pet Photos from 6-8 p.m. on December 8. The Fashion for Paws event benefits the Washington Humane Society. The affair will include styling for pets in apparel from Barkley Square, holiday-infused cocktails and food for all. The festivities will be held in the Capitol File Lounge, Level 1, near Neiman Marcus. A portion of the pet photos and merchandise will be donated to Fashion for Paws/WHS. To RSVP visit www.washhumane.org/F4PtysonsSanta.

On December 11 and 12, pet owners and their furry friends can get in on the action from 2-4 p.m. at Hotel Monaco. A $20 donation to Washington Humane Society will be made for each photo. Fashion For Paws calendars will be on sale. For those looking to add to their pack, Washington Humane Society will be available, with animals for adoption.

The preppiest pets can dress up to match their owners’ bowties and handbags at the Santa Pet Photo Event at Vineyard Vines on December 16. The event is from 6-9 p.m. Champagne and hors d’oeuvres will be served. The two-legged guests will receive a 10 percent discount on Vineyard Vines purchases and the company will donate 10 percent of the revenue to the Washington Humane Society. Photos with Santa will be a $20 donation.
