Carine's Bridal Throws Flash Sample Sale

Carine’s Bridal Atelier cleaning out its closet

Carine’s Bridal Atelier (1726 Wisconsin Ave. NW, 2nd floor) is doing some spring cleaning.

The store will host its annual sample sale on Thursday, March 29 featuring designer dresses at 50 to 75 percent off. Browse more than 50 dresses from Oscar de la Renta, Monique Lhuillier, Carolina Herrera and more.

The sale runs from 5 to 8 p.m. -- no early mornings required as in Running of the Brides. Customers will be asked to wait in line outside of the store, though.

"We recommend them getting here early, since we only let in 10 people at a time," said Hannah Paschal, the store's PR rep.

Another tip: Wear undies you wouldn't mind other people seeing you wear. "Our whole store is transformed into a dressing a room," said Paschal.

Brides-to-be will have just 15-20 minutes to try on each dress before making their decisions, and all shopping is self-service. Consultants will only be available to answer questions.

More hazards of the sample sale: Dresses are sold on a first-come, first-serve basis and all sales are final. Gowns will be sold "as-is."

"Some of them have literally only been tried on once or twice, the condition and prices can’t get any better," said store owner Carine Krawiec.

Cash, checks, and credit cards (excluding Discover) are accepted. Checks need to be cleared before the buyer can bring their gown home.

Parties of more than 3-4 people are not recommended -- this isn't Running of the Brides, after all.
