Are you still driving an SUV? And do you maybe NOT drive that SUV to the recycling center very often?

Either way, you might learn a thing or two at the D.C. Green Festival this weekend at the Convention Center.

Speakers and workshops will cover big issues like sustainability -- what clean technology and eco-tourism actually mean, where to find renewable energy and how your food choices really do affect the future. Events include "The Vegan Monologues" and "Greening Your Home in D.C." Keynote speakers include Ralph Nader and Ed Begley, Jr.

Film showings and live music offer a bit more in the realm of entertainment. Taste samples of local food, organic beer and wine, and shop 350 eco-friendly businesses in the marketplace.

Tickets are $15. The fest runs 11 a.m.-6 p.m. Saturday and noon to 5:30 Sunday. And you'll be starting a backyard composting program by this time next week.
