Foolishly Fashionable: Better Than Fashionably Foolish

Think of it as a flea market for new stuff

Hella Tuff is a new e-store, but it's having an in-real-life party tonight. As in, not the kind of party that only happens online. ('Cause ... that would be creepy.)

The Foolishly Fashionable trunk show features the in-real-life wares of a variety of local artisans with online shops. Adams Morgan bar 18th and Red (2436 18th St. N.W.) is playing host to Hella Tuff vendors -- aka, two girls both named Jess, at least one of whom enjoys the company of a Polaroid camera. They're selling urban lighting fixtures, vintage clothing, "felt creatures," wall art and photographs.

You can play in photo booths and scarf cupcakes just like the big kids. DJ The Captain will be spinning throughout the night.

Aside from Hella Tuff, other creative folk sharing their wares include b-kao, Daisy Lacy, Jules + Juniper, Kingham Designs and Monument Snowboards.

Admission is free for all ages, and drink specials for the over-21 set include $3 draft beers, rail drinks, and house wines. So you'll have plenty of funds left over to spend on goodies without paying the middleman (or the government, or GM, or AIG. Just saying).
