It's just the time of year to bundle up in wool caps, grab the sled and...
Hold up... isn't it July? There were just fireworks a few days ago. Freaky.
But yep, here it comes -- the annual Christmas in July Celebration will return to Old Town for its second year, the weekend of July 15-17. The first event -- a free historical tour of Union Street -- kicks off Friday, July 15 at 10 a.m. at the Alexandria Archaeologist (corner of Prince and Union streets).
Other events include pictures with Santa, story time, Christmas cookie decorating, ice cream specials and other things to get you into the holiday spirit. Check out the full schedule of events and bands.
The artificial holiday will benefit the Make-A-Wish-Foundation of the Mid-Atlantic.
