Blago Pulls a Prejean

First Carrie Prejean disses D.C., and now ... Blago? Oh the humanity.

The Hill is reporting that former Illinois Gov. Rod Blagojevich backed out of a planned appearance today at the National Press Club Book Fair just hours before he was supposed to show.

Blago's just the most recent "insta-celeb" to dump on D.C.

Last week Prejean, everyone's favorite beauty queen, skipped out on an appearance at the Capitol Hill Club's Luce Policy Institute's Afternoon with an Author event.

All of which begs the question: Why is D.C. inviting these D-Listers to speak in the first place? And who's next, Carrot Top?
