A group of motorcyclists plan to show their appreciation to troops, veterans and families who suffer from what they call the “invisible wounds of war” -- post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) and traumatic brain injury (TBI) -- by participating Saturday in the Give-Back-24 “Ride Around the Clock” motorcyclist race.
Participants will ride nearly 1,000 miles through five states in 24 hours beginning at 9 a.m. Saturday at the Air Force Memorial in Arlington, Va. Their trip will take them from Virginia through Maryland, Pennsylvania, Ohio, West Virginia and back through Maryland and Virginia again.
Motorcyclists plan to ride all through the night, and end their 1,000 miles at 9:30 a.m. Sunday at the Iwo Jima Memorial in Arlington.
As of June 4, the group had raised more than $10,000 for the cause.
