Dupont Art Scene Looking for Love

2 Dupont art galleries have announced plans to close.

As if the recent closing of Zenith Gallery and Burdick Gallery wasn't enough, the recession is taking down 2 more DC art galleries.

The Kathleen Ewing Gallery and Jane Haslem Gallery, both located in Dupont, will close.

Kathleen Ewing, considered by many to be the premier photography gallery in the DC region, will move the operation back to her home in Cleveland Park, according to Daily Campello Art News.

Jane Haslem, who's operated a gallery for close to 50 years, will soon end her gallery operations and concentrate on her website www.artline.com.

It's sad to see galleries not make it, but in these economic conditions, it's not surprising.
