There'll be air, oil, advice and more for the novice and expert alike at the first-ever Bloomingdale bike clinic from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Sunday.
Waiting for you, in the little park next to the Bloomingdale Farmers market, will be "DC Bike Ambassador" Ben West of the Washington Area Bicyclist Association and Mount Pleasant manager and Brookland resident (and Bloomingdale Farmers market fan), Rebbie Higgins, among others.
Minor repairs and tuning will be done on the spot. Even better, West and co. will show you how to do it yourself.
The Bloomingdale Farmers market, which is open from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., is located next to Big Bear Cafe at 1st and R Streets, N.W.
As DCist puts it, "take a ride, buy some fresh veggies and learn how to fix your bike -- sounds like a perfect Sunday." It sure does.
