WASHINGTON -- A "technical issue" stopped many people from purchasing tickets online for July's Elton John/Billy Joel concert at Nationals Park last month, so more tickets are being released for sale on Monday.

“During the initial sale, our online ticketing system experienced an issue that limited fans’ ability to access tickets for a period of time,” said Larry Witherspoon, CEO of Tickets.com. “We have resolved the issue and we apologize for any resulting inconvenience. We look forward to providing fans with a consistent, positive ticket-buying experience during the on-sale scheduled for Monday, March 9.”

Tickets will go on sale at 10 a.m. on Tickets.com and by phone at 888-632-6287.

The July 11 concert will be the first at Nationals Park.
