- Associate Producer -- Meet The Press
General Responsibilities:
Job Purpose: As an Associate Producer for Meet the Press your responsibilities would include:
• Assist with the production of Meet the Press.
• Conduct research and briefing reports for the Moderator and EP.
• Log tapes & coordinate video feeds.
• Assist in producing content for show website.
• Work on the development of show topics, questions and elements.
• Work with Producers and Graphic Artists in creation of show open and show graphics.
• Assist in the supervision of show internship program.
Basic Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s Degree.
• Minimum 2 years experience as an associate producer or researcher involved in researching legislative, political, and foreign policy issues.
Eligibility Requirements:

• Must be willing to work in Washington D.C.
• Must be willing to take drug test and submit to a background investigation.

• Position will entail a regular workweek of Tuesday thru Saturday and occasional Sundays and Holidays.
Desired:
• Strong knowledge of current events.
• Experience researching politics and policy issues.
• Experience conducting original research.
• Experience conducting tape research.
• Familiarity with network news show production.
• Familiarity with Lexis/Nexis, Factiva, Media Manager, and Avid.
• Detail orientation.
• Perform well under pressure and communicate effectively.
• Strong writing skills.
