TV set with test bars

Are you ready for the big digital conversion?

If you have a portable, battery-powered analog TV, you will still be able to watch broadcast TV, but you would need additional equipment and the TV wouldn't really be portable.

You would still have to have a converter box for portable, battery-powered analog TVs to receive over-the-air programming after June 12, 2009. First you will have to be sure they have the proper inputs for a connection. However, because there won’t be battery-powered converter boxes, you will need to connect it to an external power source.

  • Anonymous Wednesday, Jun 10 at 2:53 PM FLAG COMMENT The current battery-powered DTVs can only be charged using AC. Besides that, the battery is like a laptop batter and only will last about 2 hours. When will someone come out with a "regular" battery powered DTV?

I purchased one of their units and i am receiving 47 Digital Signals in my local area. Outstanding product! I had to return two units, Harier and Axion. I couldn't get more than two or three analog signals and the two digital channels were horrible. I would recommend New Image Digital to anyone. www.newimage ... MORE >
