The YMCA of Metropolitan Washington is a non-profit organization that provides health, wellness, child care, camp and other programs that promote spiritual, physical and mental well being for kids, families, individuals and older adults. The YMCA is the largest provider of childcare services in the greater Washington region, serving over 30,000 children each year. Today, we have 16 branches and program centers that touch more than 250,000 lives a year in the District of Columbia, Northern Virginia, and suburban Maryland.

YoKid provides low- and no-cost instruction in yoga and meditation for all kids of all ages. Our hope is that through this instruction, kids will be able foster greater self-awareness and, in turn, realize their full potential academically, socially, and emotionally. YoKid provides low-cost programming for any interested school or organization, however, groups that meet at least one of the following criteria are eligible for further reduced or no-cost programs: *Receive special education services *Have a physical disability *Free/Reduced lunch population within the school/community center/organization is 60% or more.
