Pat Lawson Muse anchors News4 at 4 with Jim Handly and hosts Reporter's Notebook, a weekly public affairs show seen Sunday mornings.  She also files reports for News4's afternoon and evening newscasts and is a host for News4 This Week, a weekly show highlighting stories from the Washington, D.C., area.

Muse joined News4 in 1982 as anchor of local newsbreaks during NBC's Today show.  She then became co-anchor of News4 at Noon where, along with Barbara Harrison, was one of the first all-female anchor teams in the country.  For nine years, Muse was the anchor of the weekend editions of News4 at 6 and News 4 at 11.

In 2005, Muse was part of the team to redesign News4 at 4. This unique newscast, built around the theme NBC4 Connected, highlights the synergy between News4 and its Web site.  Through the broadcast and the Web site, viewers participate in and comment on various stories throughout the hour.

Muse's broadcasting career started in radio, where she worked at stations including WTOP-AM, WOL-AM, WHUR-FM, National Public Radio, and the Mutual Black Network.  At WOL-AM, she also produced Up Front, a weekly public affairs radio program.

Muse has won several EMMY Awards, including two Best Anchor statues.  She has also been recognized by the American Association of University Women, the National Association of Black Journalists, the International Television and Film Festival of New York, the National Congress of Black Women, Inc DC Chapter, and the Minority Business and Professionals Network.

Muse is a magna cum laude graduate of Howard University where she studied broadcast management.  A native of Las Vegas, Muse now lives in Maryland with her husband, Rev. Dr. C. Anthony Muse.
