NBC4 is currently accepting applications for the following positions: 

  • Platform Manager

General Responsibilities:

Job Purpose: As a Platform Manager, you will be responsible for the overall editorial content for one or more of the content platforms produced by WRC.  Platform Managers will be required to work effectively in all platforms, including but not limited to Out-of-Home, web, and broadcast – to seamlessly move from one platform to the next.  Additional duties include:

·       Work with content producers to select the most compelling and relevant stories.

·       Work with the production team to ensure smooth and seamless productions as well as with a Daypart Manager and other Platform Managers to ensure the most complete local news coverage.

·       Play an active role in the editorial process and be advocates for their particular platform.

·       Responsible for writing, producing, desktop editing and gathering content for all platforms.

·       Responsible for effectively managing a pool of content producers, coaching and mentoring as needed.

 

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Journalism, Communications or equivalent work experience

  • Content Producer

General Responsibilities:

Job Purpose: As a Content Producer your responsibilities would include:

·       Working closely with Platform Managers, DayPart Managers and Assignment Editors, as well as Reporters and Anchors to desktop edit, write, produce and gather content on all of WRC’s platforms, including but not limited to Out-of-Home, web and broadcast.

·       Responsible for the overall coverage of assigned stories on all platforms throughout the day.

 

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent work experience

  • Account Manager 

General Responsibilities:
Job Purpose: As an Account Manager, you will be responsible for developing business for NBC4 through contact with local and regional ad agencies and clients:
 

  • Develop new business opportunities both on-air and online.
  • Prepare and coordinate sales presentations.
  • Sell existing station projects for community service and revenue and assist in developing new station projects.
  • Service existing accounts.
  • Assist colleagues with accounts.
  • Prepare weekly and quarterly competitive information.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Minimum two years media sales experience.
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, or other related field or equivalent experience.

  • Team work and customer service orientation.
  • Ability to learn “on-the-fly” and to apply and share best practices among other team members.
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks at once, and meet critical deadlines
  • Superior computer skills and proficiency with MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. Excellent verbal communications skills.
  • Strong qualitative and quantitative skills.
  • Ability to constructively solve unexpected problems and to make sound decisions in pressurized situations.
