    Welcome to NBC4's 12 Days of Giving, where we highlight some of the charities and non-profits doing great work in our community.

    Thursday, Dec. 5: THE ARC OF PRINCE GEORGE'S COUNTY

    The Arc of Prince George's County is a Md.-based chapter of the Arc, a grassroots organization focused on aiding people with developmental disabilities and their families.

    Created in 1952, The Arc of Prince George's County is one of 700 Arc chapters across the nation. With nearly 600 staff members, including people with developmental disabilities, the group provides a variety of living services to thousands of people each year, including in-home community supports, supported employment and family services.
