Tony Tull is a general assignment reporter for News4. His reports generally air during News4 Today and News4 Midday.
Tull’s journalism career started while he was studying at the University of Hartford. While there, ESPN2 hired him to host a 30-minute high school sports show. He moved out west to continue his studies at California State University, Northridge.
After graduation, Tull was a morning reporter for Good Day Sacramento and CBS13 News in the Morning. Although Sacramento is California's state capital, he found himself doing most of his live shots in the rain, fog and snow of the Sierra Mountains. Tull moved to San Diego a few years later to cover breaking news for San Diego 6 News.
Joining NBC4 in Washington is a homecoming for Tull. He was born and raised in Columbia, Md., where he attended River Hill High School.
