Lindsay Czarniak is an anchor and reporter for News4 Sports. She is also a host on Daily Connection and co-hosts Sports Final, and Redskins Gameplan on NBC4 and Capital Games on NBC Washington Nonstop.
Aside from her work at NBC 4, she is the Host of TNT's pre-race show "Countdown to Green" for NASCAR's Sprint Cup Series. Czarniak has been a pit reporter for TNT’s coverage the past 3 years.
Czarniak joined News4 in June 2005 from WTVJ-TV, NBC’s station in Miami. While there, she was a sports anchor and reporter and hosted Fins TV, the Miami Dolphins show. During that time, she was also a pit reporter covering the ACRA racing series for the SPEED Channel and NASCAR’s Busch series for NBC.
NBC Sports has recognized Czarniak’s talents and tapped her to join NBC’s Olympic coverage in 2006 from Turino and 2008 from Beijing. During the Games, she reported live on the NBC Networks and kept News4 viewers in the loop with her video diaries. From Beijing, Czarniak hosted the first-ever Olympic coverage on the Oxygen network.
Czarniak’s aggressive reporting has landed her interviews with sports elite all over the country. Some of those conversations are featured weekly on her Lunch with Lindsay segment that airs Tuesdays on News4 at 5.
Czarniak grew up in Northern Virginia and graduated from Centreville High School. She attended college at James Madison University, then began her broadcasting career as a CNN production assistant. She has also tworked for WAWS-TV/WTEV-TV, in Jacksonville, Florida.
