Erika Gonzalez

Erika Gonzalez is a reporter and anchor at News4.

Erika moved to Washington from the good ol’ state of Texas where she worked in two parts of the station. She began her career as a weathercaster and anchor in Rio Grande Valley then moved to KEYE in Austin to become a morning news anchor. While there, Erika also used her Spanish proficiency to anchor newscasts for Telemundo Austin.

A native of Texas, Erika holds a degree in Communications from the University of Texas Pan American where she graduated Cum Laude. She is an alumna of Delta Xi Nu Multicultural Sorority Inc.

Erika loves to stay active. She ran her first marathon in May of 2011, is a certified Zumba instructor, and is a first degree black-belt in Kung-Fu. She’s also a very good salsa dancer.
