Stories about people having their vehicles in the wrong gear and inadvertently driving in the wrong direction aren't all that uncommon or newsworthy, but not every misguided vehicle is the Oscar Mayer Wienermobile.

It seems a 22-year-old female driver took a wrong turn and ended up on a dead-end street in Mount Pleasant, Wis., about 35 miles south of Milwaukee, just before noon Friday.

While trying to turn the giant wiener around in a driveway, the driver said she thought she was reversing but instead went forward and crashed the 27-foot frank into the deck and garage of a home.

No one was in the house and no one was injured.

Oscar Mayer spokeswoman Sydney Lindner apologized for any inconvenience to the home owner and said the company will work with insurance companies to fix the damage to the house and vehicle.
