Woman Arrested for Drug Possession at High's Gas Station

A 22-year-old woman has been arrested for drug possession at High's Gas Station.

Tatiana Marie Puhnaty had two syringes of suspected heroin when she was arrested at the gas station on Old National Pike in New Market, as well as two baggies in her bra, said the Frederick County Sheriff's Office.

She was arrested after a deputy saw her "having obvious trouble parking" at the gas station around 1 a.m. Monday, according to a release from the sheriff's office.

A deputy on the scene spoke to Puhnaty and got permission to search her car. When he did, he found a hypodermic syringe containing a substance believed to be heroin, authorities said. They found a second syringe with more suspected heroin after searching Puhnaty herself, they said.

Puhnaty was then arrested. Authorities say that before being booked, she told them she also had two baggies in her bra. Each contained about 1 gram of suspected heroin, authorities said.

Puhnaty, of Germantown, has been charged with possession of a controlled dangerous substance and possession of controlled dangerous substance administration equipment.
