Alleged Streaker Subdued With Pepper Spray

A man reportedly seen streaking through a neighborhood north of Hagerstown, Md., was arrested while allegedly trying to break into a home, the Herald-Mail reported.

At about 10 a.m. Thursday police received reports of a man running through the streets. Eric Lyles, of Frederick, allegedly stopped traffic and tried to prevent a woman from driving on, the Washington County Sheriff’s Office said.

Deputy David A. Haugh said he was told that Lyles was naked at one point while he was running, although Haugh said Lyles was wearing boxer shorts when deputies caught up to him.

Lyles apparently was trying to break in to a home when Maryland State Police subdued him with pepper spray, the Herald-Mail reported.

Lyles was charged with third-degree burglary, malicious destruction of property and disorderly conduct.
