Partier Survives Being Twice Compacted in Dumpster

After parking the truck at a nearby shopping mall, the driver finally heard man screaming from inside

An Oregon man ended his wild Friday night by being twice compacted in a garbage truck, according to reports.

Justin Gilpatrick, 27, spent the night in a dumpster to sober up after deciding he was too drunk to drive home, KGW.com reported. Gilpatrick awoke when a hauler picked up the dumpster he was in and proceeded to twice compact the load of garbage with him inside.

After parking the truck at a nearby shopping mall, the driver finally heard Gilpatrick screaming from inside, Yahoo! News reported.

He escaped with minor injuries and was simply “shaken up,” Police Lt. Robert King told KGW.

The reveler was so unaffected that he needed to be convinced to wait for an ambulance instead of walking away, a Waste Management spokeswoman told KGW.

Gilpatrick took to Facebook after leaving the hospital. "I have not had a drink in years and the one time I do this I what happens. I will never drink again,” he wrote, according to the Daily Mail.
