If you smelled something "fishy" Wednesday night while riding the Metro, you aren't alone.
Many Metro riders reported a foul odor on Wednesday night, with a number of tweets complaining of the unpleasant scent. One rider told News4 the smell got stronger as his train approached Foggy Bottom station. The odor was also reported at Metro Center and L'Enfant Plaza.
The similar smells were reported in early January, and it is speculated that those smells were due to organic brake pads.
A Metro spokesperson told News4's Shomari Stone that they are aware of the reports, and the agency is investigating.
