Animal control officers have captured an emu that was wandering around Suffolk, Va.
The 6-foot-tall bird is believed to have escaped from a farm, city spokeswoman Diana Klink said. No one has claimed responsibility for the emu, the Daily Press reported. It was taken to the Virginia Zoo.
The bird was spotted Tuesday in a Suffolk neighborhood.
Suffolk Animal Control officers coaxed the emu out of a nearby wooded area and captured it without incident.
