New York Times Columnist Finds Lost iPhone Via Twitter

A New York Times columnist turned to Twitter after losing his iPhone and the search tracked the phone to Prince George's County, Md.

Tech writer David Pogue said he lost his phone on a train from Philadelphia to Connecticut on Monday. He tried calling it, but the phone was off.

That's when he tweeted about it and used the Find My iPhone app. The app pulls up a map of where the phone is -- and it showed up right outside of Washington, D.C. in Seat Pleasant, Md.

Pogue contacted Prince George's County Police, who searched the home until they found it in the backyard, lying in the grass.

Police are not sure if a crime was committed -- so no charges have been filed.
