Washington Nationals Jersey Auction Ending

It's the last day of a Washington Nationals auction that will support families whose loved ones died in the shooting at the Washington Navy Yard.

The auction of jerseys signed by the team's players is set to end Thursday. Each player who suited up for the game last Tuesday signed his blue game jersey for the auction. The team says the auction's proceeds will be donated to the Tragedy Assistance Program for Survivors, the organization providing support to the families of the shooting victims.

Tuesday's game against the Atlanta Braves came the day after the shooting at the Washington Navy Yard where a gunman killed 12 people before being fatally shot by police.

As of Thursday morning, the highest bid was for outfielder Bryce Harper's jersey at more than $5,000.
