Tiger Woods tied for third in the third round of the Masters on Saturday, though he fell four strokes behind Westwood, the leader. The day was relatively quiet for Woods, except for a slip of the tongue captured on live television. His return to golf comes nearly five months since being embroiled in an explosive sex scandal.

Tiger Woods has found the perfect tune-up for Part Two of his comeback.

The golf superstar, who endeda five-month hiatus with a fourth-place finish in the Masters last week, plans to play in the Quail hollow Championship, which tees off April 29 in Charlotte, N.C. The tournament, which Woods won in 2007, has a purse of $6.4 million, with $1.2 million going to the winner.

It's not a major, but Woods has already announced he'll play in the next one of those, the U.S. Open in June. This year's Open will take place at the Pebble Beach Golf Links June 17-20. After his disappointing finish at Augusta, Woods indicated he would take time off before playing again.

Woods has won three U.S. Opens, with his first coming in 2000 at the course in Pebble Beach, California. He also claimed the title in 2002 at Bethpage State Park in New York and in 2008 at Torrey Pines Golf Course near San Diego. Unlike the Masters, the U.S. Open rotates venues each year.

Woods has won 14 major championships, four shy of Jack Nicklaus’s record.

Woods, 34, dropped out of sight following a Nov. 27 car accident that ignited a sex scandal. He later resurfaced saying he had been in treatment and hoped to save his marriage.
