Yes, we are ready for some football

Somewhere, there's a Cowboy fan looking at this photo who's getting scared.
While baseball has a pastoral, leisurely spring training, football, as we all know, is a war. They don't just train. They, like the precise, military-like operation they are, encamp.
Thus, at the crack of dawn, hundreds of fans were waiting in line to watch their maroon and black heroes practice. When that first airhorn sounded, it means we're closer to.... FOOTBALL!
Practice started today for the Offseason Champions and so far, so good. Nobody was injured (unlike last year) and Brian Orakpo, the still-unsigned first-round pick was the only no-show, according to the Times.
But two early story lines developed: The Vick/Campbell factions and Coach Zorn's short shorts.
Zorn apparenly didn't like the mish-mash of uniforms, sweatshirts, undershirts in a rainbow of colors, so he laid down the law and instituted a training camp dress code, according to the Sports Bog.
But he didn't just talk about it. The budding fashion model tried the outfits on:
"What I did was I sampled our sweatpants and I sampled them on how these guys could wear them if they wanted to... And then I took those off, I was not down to my shorts, but I was down to the Chris Cooley-style, which was real high cut..."
"I had the Chris Cooley look...It just looks like early '70s, that's all. I modeled his style and everybody laughed at me."
That's why they call him the Zorn Star.
The biggest cheers of the day were reserved for QB Jason Campbell who, when not watching behind his back for the latest flavor-of-the-month replacement, was completing a number of long passes (even the one he completed to DeAngelo Hall).
Most of the crowd loved him, but not everyone. The Sports Bog caught up with a group of idio... errr... people who were wearing Vick jerseys and carrying pro-Vick signs.
In summing up why she thought Vick would be OK with the Skins, Rebecca Pearson told the Sports Bog, "nobody's perfect."
Ain't that the truth. But for now, the Skins are undefeated, and everything's looking rosy for the Offseason Champs.
