The Washington Redskins' starters will not play in the final preseason game Thursday, News4's Dianna Russini reported Tuesday.

NFL starters typically sit out the fourth and final preseason game, but sources said Monday that the offense's starters might play a few series against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

The Redskins first-string offense played poorly Saturday in a 23-17 loss to the Baltimore Ravens. That included three sacks of Robert Griffin III and the interception of his last pass attempt.
