He's seven, and already a pro.

Most kids his age are preparing for the second grade, but 7-year-old soccer prodigy Leonel Angel Coira just signed a contract with Real Madrid.

Madrid signed Leonel, of Argentina, because Spanish league rival Atletico Madrid was hot on the child's trail. The boy will begin training with the team Sept. 6, said Real Madrid spokesman Juan Tapiador. Leonel's idol is Barcelona and Argentina star Lionel Messi, and both go by the name "Leo."

''It looks good when I say it because I'm the father, but I'm excited to see how he plays with the ball,'' said his father, who made the deal with the pro team.
