No Redkskins Players Make the Pro Bowl

Linebacker leads league in tackles

The NFL announced its Pro Bowl rosters, but you won't find any members of the Burgundy and Gold on them.  Not even defensive star London Fletcher was selected to play in next month's game at Aloha Stadium in Honolulu.

The news was a big disappointment for Washington fans, who had seen Fletcher dominate on the field this year.  The 36-year-old linebacker leads the league with 163 tackles, including 93 solo tackles.  He also recorded two sacks, three forced fumbles, and two interceptions so far, with one game remaining this season.

It's the 14th straight year Fletcher has not been voted into the game.  However, he has been selected as an alternate nine times in his career and has played in the game twice.

Fletcher let his feelings be known on twitter yesterday,  saying "Don't know if I should be upset or laugh. Obviously it doesn't matter what u do on the field! #probowl"

While no Redskins were picked, two former Skins players were named to the Pro Bowl rosters.  Andre Carter, now with the New England Patriots, and Carlos Rogers, now with the San Francisco 49ers, were both picked.  Both players were let go by Washington at the end of last season.
