NFL “Treats” Chris Cooley For Blogging Mishap

Cooley undergwent psychiatric evaluation by league office

Chris Cooley is a blogger. Sometimes we bloggers make mistakes. Like, sometimes we write something that we are positive is true but we forget to double check it and then forget to remind ourselves, and then commenters hate us. Sometimes we misspell proper nouns. Sometimes we go on too long about myself when really we should just get to the point of the story, which is that blogging is fraught with peril. Anything can happen out there. Including accidentally posting a picture of one's penis.

Important note: We're not longer referring to our own blogging adventures, but to those of Chris Cooley, who once accidentally posted a photo of his penis on his blog and left it up for a whole day while he and his brother were at the football game. Whoops.

The incident went by without much fanfare. Cooley removed the photo and apologized, and explained it away as an accident. Which makes sense because really, who does that? It blew over. Or so we thought. It turns out Chris Cooley was given an NFL psychiatric evaluation for his trouble:

Cooley: Only in interviews. Only people like you. But the NFL made me undergo a psychiatric evaluation. They treated it really seriously. Please. It was an accident. If I wanted to post a picture of my penis I wouldn't have been all hunched over.

SI.com: What was the result of the psychiatric evaluation?

Cooley: I don't even know, dude. I had to do a call with some lady. I thought it was gonna take two minutes, but it was like an hour. It was horrible.

Chris doesn't mention what the official diagnosis was, but we're betting it was less "sociopathy" or "schizophrenia" and more "Chris is a goofy dude who blogs and accidentally, somehow, who knows, posted a picture of his wang on his site." Diagnosis complete. The end.
