A memorial service will take place Tuesday for the half-brother of Redskins player Albert Haynesworth.
The defensive tackle missed Sunday's game against the Green Bay Packers to be with his family in Tennessee after the death of Lance McCoy, 23.
A memorial motorcycle ride honored McCoy in Nashville on Sunday. He died Thursday night after his motorcycle hit a car that was pulling out of a parking out. Police said he was speeding.
The Redskins will play the Indianapolis Colts next Sunday, but the team has not said if Haynesworth will play. Head coach Mike Shanahan is giving Haynesworth time to deal with his family matters, according to Redskins.com.
"Obviously what he’s going through right now is paramount," Shanahan said. "We’re giving him and his family all of our prayers and thoughts. I think that’s the main concern right now."
Tuesday’s memorial service will be in Hartsville, S.C.
