The Washington Redskins expect Jason Campbell to wear burgundy and gold next season, though how much he'll be wearing it on the field is still up in the air.

New head coach Mike Shanahan said the team will make Campbell a contract offer next week. Shanahan also said he expects Campbell to be here next season. However, he would not commit that number 17 will be the starting quarterback. Free agency begins next Friday.

Shanahan met with the media in Indianapolis at the NFL draft combine. The Redskins hold the No. 4 pick in April's draft and the Skins could use it to draft a quarterback. Shanahan didn't rule out the team could draft a quarterback. A majority of fans think the best thing for the team to do is draft an offensive lineman. Shanahan himself called the O-line a "battered group."

The new Redskins offense will be run by Shanahan and his son, Kyle Shanahan. The head coach said his son, the offensive coordinator, will call the plays.

Apparently Shanahan's wife has some influence on him. When asked why he chose the Redskins over the Buffalo Bills, Shanahan said his wife hated the weather in Buffalo, NFL.com reported.

"If I went to Buffalo to live there, from my family perspective, I would be the only one that would go,” Shanahan said, jokingly. “My wife and kids wouldn’t go.”

Shanahan also joked that DC has had plenty of snow this winter.
