WASHINGTON -- Teams -- and fans -- worry about it every year: Losing a star player in a meaningless preseason game.
Washington Wizards forward Antawn Jamison's preseason is over after he suffered a subluxation of his right shoulder in last night's 109-104 win over the Cleveland Cavaliers.
His shoulder slipped out of joint as he tried to block a shot by Cav's center Zydrunas Ilgauskas in the first quarter.
Coach Flip Saunders said it seemed like the shoulder popped out and back in.
The regular season starts in two weeks. Jamison will be reevaluated in about a week.
Jamison averaged 15.4 points and 6.8 rebounds per game in five preseason games.
