With the league's worst record this season under the Washington Nationals, sources say there's at least one man who's going to take the fall.

The only question is when manager Manny Acta will be relieved of his duties, says FOXsports.com.  According to major league sources, it could happen this week.

Current bench coach and former major league manager Jim Riggleman is allegedly next in line for  the job.  Riggleman's got a wide array of managerial experience, although none of it particularly encouraging, according to DCist

Acta was the youngest active manager in the majors when he was hired by the Nats in November 2006.  Unfortunately, after guiding the Nats to 73 wins in '07, it went pretty much downhill from there.

Riggleman's management experience includes a recent stint as interim manager, after taking over the Mariners from fired boss John McLaren.  He has also managed for the San Diego Padres and the Chicago Cubs.

But in his six-odd seasons at the helm in San Diego, Seattle and with the Cubs, he only had two winning seasons, including one playoff appearance in 1998, DCist reports.

And that just might be better for the Nats than their current 16-44 record.
