WASHINGTON (AP) -- Jaime Moreno scored his first two goals of the season 10 minutes apart in the second half to lift D.C. United to a 2-1 win over FC Dallas on Saturday night.

Despite outplaying Dallas for much of the game -- including an 11-3 edge in shots on goal -- United (3-1-3) trailed 1-0 at halftime thanks to Andre Rocha's goal in the 28th minute.

But Moreno, who missed his club's 3-2 comeback win over New York on Sunday with a strained Achilles' tendon, scored twice from 15 yards to help D.C. win consecutive games for the first time this season.

In the 56th minute, he tied the score by gathering a long pass from Bryan Namoff just onside, then unloaded a shot to the right of the diving Burse.

Ten minutes later, Christian Gomez threaded a pass between two Dallas defenders just outside the penalty area to Moreno, who drew Dallas goalkeeper Ray Burse out of the box and chipped a shot into the goal.

Dallas (2-4-1) scored on its first shot of the match. Rocha, standing nearly face-to-face with United goalkeeper Milos Kocic on the near side of the net, redirected a corner from Dave van den Bergh to score for the first time this season.

Dallas, which has yielded a league-high 13 goals, faced United missing some defensive help. Burse started for Dario Sala, who got a red card in Dallas' last match, which was only his second start this season due to a torn meniscus. Defender Daniel Torres, recovering from a broken hand, played in place of George John, who missed his second straight game with a hamstring injury.
