Chris Samuels Calling It a Career

The Washington Redskins' offensive line just plain stinks, but it's never been Chris Samuels' fault.

Sadly, it looks like he won't be around to help fix the problem. The six-time Pro Bowler is hanging up his cleats, sources said.

Samuels suffered a neck injury two weeks ago. He already suffers from stenosis -- a narrowing of the spine. So rather than risk further neck or spine injury, the left tackle is retiring.

He consulted with several medical experts who told him the risk of playing again was too great.

Before this season, Samuels had only missed eight games in his 10 seasons.
