If you’re looking to score last-minute tickets to the Washington Redskins playoff game against the Seattle Seahawks at FedEx Field Sunday, be careful how and where you look.

The National Football League and the Better Business Bureau offered advice on avoiding ticket scams. Both organizations say don’t buy from anyone selling tickets on the street. You may wind up with fake or stolen tickets that way.

Next, verify the location of the seats on a seating chart to avoid buying seats with an obstructed view or seats that simply do not exist.

If you’re searching for tickets online, make sure the site has a fully secure processing page: Look for the URL to include “https.”

And always use a credit card or another secure form of payment in case there’s a problem and you want your money refunded.
