Obama: Presidency Is ‘Not a Reality Show'

President Barack Obama said Friday that presumptive Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump's long record "needs to be examined."

"This is a really serious job. This is not entertainment," Obama said after speaking on the economy at the White House. "This is not a reality show. This is a contest for the presidency of the United States."

He added that the media should focus on the validity of the claims the candidate makes and not focus on "the spectacle and the circus."

Asked about Trump's latest rants on Twitter criticizing Hillary Clinton, Obama said, "I have no thoughts. As a general rule I don't have thoughts on Trump's tweets. And that will be true for the next six months.”
