President Barack Obama is scheduled to speak in College Park this week in a town hall setting, according to a spokesman for the University of Maryland.
Obama will speak at the university's Ritchie Coliseum Friday, Millree Williams said.
A limited number of general admission tickets will be made available through the university, Williams said.
There hasn't been much discussion yet about the topic of the town hall meeting, Williams said.
Washington has been deadlocked in debate over raising the government's borrowing limit before an Aug. 2 deadline. Obama on Tuesday said there's no more time for symbolic gestures and that it's time to get down to the business of solving the problem.
