The White House announced this week that the United States will accept Iran's offer to meet, fulfilling President Obama's promise that the government would hold unconditional talks with the Middle Eastern country.
A senior rep of the Obama administration will be at the bargaining table along with emissaries from five other nations at the talks, which could represent the first real conversation with Iran since the 1979 Iranian Revolution.
"We'll be looking to see if they are willing to engage seriously on these issues," State Department Spokesman Philip J. Crowley told the New York Times about Iran's nuclear weapons stores.
The talks would also incldue Britain, France, Russia, China and Germany.
