McDonnell For Vice President?

Virginia's governor doesn't rule out a run

It could have just been a simple "yes" or "no" answer, but when Virginia's Gov. Bob McDonnell was asked if he'd consider running for vice president, he hedged.

"There are a lot of good vice presidential candidates out there," McDonnell said.

He was asked about a possible run in his first monthly appearance on WTOP radio since he began his new term as governor.

McDonnell said he has no plans to leave before his term ends in 2014.

He did rule out a 2012 challenge to Democratic Sen. Jim Webb.

McDonnell has become a rising star among conservatives since his landslide election last fall.
