Virginia Gov. Bob McDonnell will deliver the Republican response Saturday to President Barack Obama's weekly radio address.
The Republican rebuttal is expected to attack health care reforms passed by a Democratic Congress and signed into law a year ago by Obama. Republicans who now control the House have promised to repeal most if not all of the law.
McDonnell is vice chairman of the Republican Governors Association and a name in speculation as a potential 2012 Republican vice presidential running mate.
