Today is the deadline for D.C. voters to turn in registration or change party affiliation for the upcoming April 3 presidential primary.
Only registered members of the Democratic, Republican and Statehood Green parties will be able to take part in the elections for their respective parties.
Of the four remaining GOP candidates, Rick Santorum is the only candidate not on the ballot in the District. The city's Republican Committee Chairman Bob Kabel is backing Mitt Romney.
While D.C. is traditionally a heavily Democratic voting haven, there are roughly 30,000 registered Republicans, amounting to 6.5 percent of all registered voters.
