D.C. Mayor Adrian Fenty is coming to the defense of first responders. He said the recent complaint involving the death of a toddler does not reflect on the work being done every day by EMS workers.
During his weekly Connecting With The Mayor segment on NBC4, Fenty said there are questions about that incident, adding that it "stands alone." The mayor said every day the agency performs in an "exceptionally professional manner."
The mayor also talked about the efforts to lure Northrop Grumman to the District, and addressed the possible concerns of small business owners who may feel the technology company is getting preferential treatment.
