Plane Makes Emergency Landing After Windshield Cracks

The plane, operated by Delta Connection carrier GoJet, was coming from St. Louis and had no passengers on board

A plane made an emergency landing at LaGuardia Airport Saturday morning after its pilot noticed a crack in the windshield, officials said.

The plane, operated by Delta Connection carrier GoJet, was coming from St. Louis and had no passengers on board, according to a statement from Delta.

Delta said the windshield had a thin crack and even though the plane remained fully pressurized the pilot declared an emergency while landing "out of an abundance of caution."

The airline said the plane is being taken out of service for maintenance.
