Four offenders left the party after they were denied entry and later returned to open fire from outside the house, police said

A woman is dead and two men are injured after a group of people who were denied entry to a house party opened fire on the people inside.

The woman, 29, and two men, ages 25 and 39, were at a party in the 6100 block of Honore in the West Englewood neighborhood at about 12:45 a.m. Sunday when four men, who have not been identified, tried to get into the party, according to Chicago Police News Affairs.

When the four men were denied entry, they left the house but later returned and began firing shots into the apartment from the outside, police said.

The woman was shot in the chest and leg and taken to Holy Cross Hospital, where she was pronounced dead. The younger male victim was shot in the arm and taken to the same hospital in stable condition. The other man was shot in the chest and taken to John H. Stroger, Jr. Hospital in serious condition.

Following the shooting incident, the offenders fled the scene on foot, authorities said. No arrests have been made and Chicago police are searching for the suspects.
